Bald Scrabbit Dragon
This is the "Bald Scrabbit Dragon". I have named it this because it is a combination of a squirrel, rabbit, crab, bald eagle and komodo dragon. I used a squirrel as the main subject and added rabbit ears. Then I found two different crab pictures to add claws that were angled similarly to the squirrel. I made it appear as if the fur was beginning to grow on the claws. I then added a beak of an eagle because both animals had a similarly shaped face, and it sort of just flowed together. And finally, I felt like challenging myself and covered up the feet with the feet of a komodo dragon. It was very difficult to find an animal with the same freakishly long feet at the same angles. I used a lot of clone stamping to eliminate stray hairs and the toes of the squirrel's feet. I also used some blur to match the original photos depth of field. And I added shadows under the feet to match the original.

Koaliongull
I call this animal the "Koaliongull". This name was derived by the combination of a koala, lion and seagull. I used the koala as the main photo, and added on a lion's head. I used many adjustment layers to attempt to get the colors matching. I then added wings of the seagull and blended it into the fur on the koala. The colors are not 100% matching, which was my main challenge in this photo. The koala has a very specific patter of color that was very hard to match, but I do think I got pretty close. Shrogzard
This is the "Shrogzard". I call it that because of its mixture between a frog, a shark and a lizard. I started with the body of a frog, and put on a cut out shark's head. I used copies of the frog skin to make the shark's head green, and match the res of the body. I then found a lizard tail and did the same thing. I cut out the tail and made it purely white. Then I put a bit of shadow on the bottom of the tail and put the frog skin texture over it by using multiply. I used the stamp tool to erase the frog's eye that protruded from the top of its head. Squolfcan (Scrapped)
This animal is called the "Squolfcan". I sort of scrapped this project because it did not flow as well as I wanted it to. I started with a howling wolf, and so I wanted to replace the mouth. I started with a closed Toucan beak, and then I switched to an open beak. It was very difficult to make the beak appear as if it was part of the wolf. I then added a squirrel's tail. The tail used to be curved, so I skewed it to make it contour to the wolf's back. I then used the stamp tool to hid the old tail, by repeating the tree and the snow. The toucan beak made this project more difficult to accomplish.

Original "Zoonooz" Recreation
This is an extra piece I made for this project. I wanted to make a magazine with one of the animals I created on the cover of it. So, I decided to re-create the original "Zoonooz" magazine. I used the same text style and layout as the original magazine. I based it off of pictures of the original printings of the magazine, but since they were pictures, I had to remake the entire cover in photoshop. I think it very closely resembles some original "Zoonooz" magazines, but I have one of my hybrid animals on the cover. I used a few adjustment layers to black and white the image and then alter the colors to more of a yellow brown to make it look older. I also altered the published by section to have my name and website URL.
