Simple Landscape Plain
This is a simple landscape I created more based off of the tutorial we were given. I did change up the colors to give it some more life, and I added somethings such as clouds, a sun, a lake, some plants int he back and two apple trees in the front. I wanted to add some more detail, so I added shadows according to where the sun is placed, and lines in the trunk of the tree to show that it is bark. It is very simple, but it portrays the image of a peaceful meadow.

Simple Landscape Edited
Just like the tutorial, I did a simple color correction and grunge overlay. I found a grunge on google, and put it over my image, in photoshop. I then changed it to soft light so my design showed through. I then noticed that the colors were a bit different, and overexposed, so I put on some different adjustment layers to bring back some of the color and give it a new feel. I wanted to make it look like an older photo that had been sitting around collecting dust for a while.

Landscape 1 Plain
This is my first landscape I made on my own. I wanted to mimic what I see when I am in Mammoth Mountain, during the Summer. I made some mountains first, with slight details at the peaks of them using the pen tool. Then I created the lake and sky using the shape tools. Next, I created a tree with the pen tool, and I duplicated it to surround the lake. I also added some "grass" that surrounds the lake as well. Finally, I added in a boat in the center of the lake using the pen tool. And I wanted to make the boat look like it was floating, so I put some water lines next to it to simulate the boat bobbing in the water and creating small ripples.

Landscape 1 Edited
This is the edited version of my first landscape. I went into Photoshop and added a few different grunge layers. I first used the pen tool to cut out the mountains, and used a rocky grunge on top of them. Next, I found another more soft grunge, and used the same layer mask to only have it cover the lake and sky, and not the mountains. I then added in a color correction to make the colors blend in some places and contrast in others.

Landscape 2 Plain
This is my second landscape. I wanted to make a night time version of my original one, so I spent some time changing all of the colors to more fit the night time theme. I made the mountains darker and the background ones harder to see. I then changed the grass and trees into a darker shade of green and made the ground a dark gray to simulate the darkness from the shadows. I then chose a deep blue for the lake. I used the pen tool to create some lines in the water to show that the moon was shining on the lake. I then added in to moon using the shape tool, as well as the craters in the moon and the stars.

Landscape 2 Edited
For the edited version of my second landscape, I added in some new grunges. I used the same grunge from my first landscape on the mountains. Next, I found a grunge that had darker outer edges to show that it is nighttime, and to put more emphasis on the main capture of the image. I then added a color correction to darken the water and brighten up the mountains just slightly.
